Please read these terms carefully before using DocumintQ. They govern your rights and responsibilities when using our platform.

1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using DocumintQ (the "Service"), operated by Acumen Technologies ("we", "us", or "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions ("Terms"). If you do not agree to all of these Terms, you may not access or use the Service. These Terms apply to all visitors, users, and registered account holders.
2. Service Description
DocumintQ is a cloud-based document management platform that provides 70+ PDF operations including, but not limited to, merging, splitting, converting, compressing, signing, redacting, OCR processing, and AI-powered document analysis. The Service is offered on a credit-based, pay-per-use model, with optional subscription plans for teams and enterprises.
3. Account Registration
Eligibility
You must be at least 16 years of age to create an account. By registering, you represent that you meet this requirement and that all information you provide is accurate and current.
Account Security
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials. You agree to notify us immediately at security@documintq.com if you suspect unauthorized access to your account. DocumintQ is not liable for losses resulting from unauthorized use of your account due to your failure to protect your credentials.
One Account Per User
Each individual may maintain one personal account. Team and enterprise accounts are permitted for organizations. Creating multiple accounts to circumvent credit limits or restrictions is prohibited and may result in permanent suspension.
4. Credit System & Payments
Credit-Based Usage
Most operations on DocumintQ consume credits from your balance. The credit cost per operation is displayed before execution. Credit costs are subject to change with 14 days' notice to registered users.
Purchases
All credit purchases and subscription payments are processed through our PCI-DSS compliant payment partner. By submitting payment information, you authorize us to charge the stated amount to your payment method.
Refunds
Credits purchased are non-refundable except where required by applicable law. If you believe a charge was made in error, contact billing@documintq.com within 14 days of the transaction. Unused subscription credits at the end of a billing cycle do not roll over unless you are on an eligible plan.
Taxes
You are responsible for any applicable taxes, duties, or levies associated with your purchases. Where required by law, DocumintQ will collect and remit applicable taxes on your behalf.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use the Service to:
- 1Upload, process, or distribute files containing illegal content, including child sexual abuse material (CSAM), content that facilitates violence, or material that infringes third-party intellectual property rights.
- 2Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of our platform or AI models.
- 3Perform automated bulk operations designed to exhaust platform resources or degrade service for other users (denial-of-service).
- 4Scrape, crawl, or harvest user data or platform content without explicit written permission.
- 5Impersonate another person, entity, or DocumintQ employee.
- 6Upload files containing malware, viruses, ransomware, or any malicious code.
- 7Circumvent, disable, or interfere with any security or access control mechanism.
- 8Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable regulations, including GDPR, HIPAA, or export control laws.
Violation of these rules may result in immediate suspension or permanent termination of your account, without refund of remaining credits.
6. Intellectual Property
Your Content
You retain full ownership of all files and documents you upload to DocumintQ. By uploading content, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free license solely to process your files for the purpose of delivering the requested service. This license terminates when your file is deleted.
Our Platform
All software, algorithms, AI models, branding, trademarks, and platform design belonging to DocumintQ and Acumen Technologies are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from our platform without explicit written permission.
Feedback
If you provide suggestions or feedback about the Service, you grant us a perpetual, royalty-free license to incorporate that feedback into our products without obligation to you.
7. Privacy & Data
Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. By using DocumintQ, you consent to the data practices described in our Privacy Policy. In the event of a conflict between these Terms and the Privacy Policy on a privacy matter, the Privacy Policy shall govern.
8. Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, ACUMEN TECHNOLOGIES DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free from viruses. Outputs from AI-powered features (OCR, summarization, auto-tagging) are generated automatically and may contain errors — always verify critical information independently.
9. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, ACUMEN TECHNOLOGIES AND ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND AFFILIATES SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES — INCLUDING LOSS OF DATA, REVENUE, PROFITS, OR BUSINESS INTERRUPTION — ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICE, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CLAIMS ARISING FROM THESE TERMS SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO US IN THE 90 DAYS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR (B) USD $50.
10. Termination
By You
You may close your account at any time from your account settings. Upon closure, your files and personal data will be deleted within 90 days, except where retention is required by law.
By Us
We may suspend or terminate your account immediately, without notice, if you breach these Terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or if we are required to do so by law. We may also discontinue the Service with 30 days' notice to registered users.
Effect of Termination
Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination — including intellectual property, disclaimers, and limitation of liability — shall survive.
11. Governing Law & Disputes
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall be resolved through binding arbitration conducted in accordance with applicable arbitration rules. You waive any right to a jury trial or to participate in a class action lawsuit. Notwithstanding the foregoing, either party may seek injunctive or equitable relief in any court of competent jurisdiction to protect intellectual property or confidential information.
12. Changes to These Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated via email or prominent in-app notice at least 14 days before taking effect. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree to the updated Terms, you must stop using the Service and close your account.
13. General Provisions
- 1Entire Agreement: These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and any additional agreements you enter into with us, constitute the entire agreement between you and Acumen Technologies.
- 2Severability: If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.
- 3Waiver: Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms shall not be deemed a waiver of such right or provision.
- 4Assignment: You may not assign your rights under these Terms without our prior written consent. We may assign our rights freely.
- 5No Third-Party Beneficiaries: These Terms do not confer any rights on third parties.
